When locked the door stops against it – when it is unlocked it allows the door to swing out to allow the door to open outwards. Installation description
Place the hinge in position on the door frame and using a router remove enough material to allow the hinge leaf to sit flush on the frame.
Mark out where the hook bolts will come on the frame and remove with a router.
Fix the SwingStop in position using the fixings provided, taking care not to over tighten.
Operation
The timber SwingStop is unlocked by turning the metal key in the top and bottom point by a quarter turn, and flipped outwards using the two recessed finger pulls.
Maintenance
Whilst the unit is largely maintenance free, periodic checks should be made to ensure that it is functioning correctly and where necessary light grease can be used in the lock mechanism.
Checks should be made to ensure that the lock is holding the stop correctly and need adjustments can be made to the hook bolt by t urning the screwon the lock face.
