Introducing Lig-Safe.

Vision: To create safe and healing care environments through rigorous testing, comprehensive training, and meticulous audits to redefine ligature safety standards in every space we touch.

Anti-Ligature Shop are excited to introduce to you our sister company Lig-Safe, who specialise in testing, training and auditing of safety environments to ensure maximum risk elimination.
Lig-Safes approach goes beyond merely safety products; it emphasises the importance of proper fitting and tailored design for each specific room. By focusing on these critical aspects, Lig-Safe wants to ensure that every environment is not only equipped with the best safety solutions but also optimised for the needs and challenges of the user, ultimately fostering a safer and more secure setting for everyone.

Lig-Safe have a dynamic team of clinical experts drawn from the NHS with specialist engineers working to create safe environments within mental health care environments. These skill sets have enabled Lig-Safe to deliver bespoke audits and training programmes to NHS care providers over many years.

Services-
Auditing- Lig-Safe recognise that eliminating ligature risks should start from a position of understanding the current state of the environment. Auditing environments helps to maintain high standards of care by identifying potential risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and promotes continuous improvement. From previous auditing we have found that up to 80% of ligature resistant products designed to enhance patient safety were found to be incorrectly installed, this is why Lig-Safe provide a full audit of your environment, the equipment that is fitted and whether it has been fitted correctly. Once the audit has been completed a full report will be written that will highlight any errors or areas requiring improvement and discuss particular ligature points and how to reduce them.

Testing- All load release equipment can be tested (curtain track, back plates, clocks etc) in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Commonly most manufacturers recommend a yearly inspection to ensure that products are operating appropriately and that the fixtures and fittings are free from damage. Testing validates the effectiveness of these designs, ensuring that they meet stringent safety standards and can withstand real-world usage. The testing will also highlight inconsistencies and comment more widely on the state of locking mechanisms, fitted and unfitted furniture, lighting, fixtures etc. By prioritising the thorough testing of ligature-resistant products, institutions demonstrate a commitment of care and safety.

Training- Did you know that from auditing we have found that up to 80% of ligature resistant products designed to enhance patient safety were found to be incorrectly installed. Lig-Safe offer training on how to correctly use and install ligature-resistant products. Where the audit report presents identifying ligatures and poor fittings of products Lig-Safe can provide comprehensive training packages developed using best practice methodology, if you require specific training Lig-Safe can tailor a training package to your needs.
