What is Glow Temperature?
Glow temperature” in lighting refers to the colour temperature of a light source, measured in Kelvin (K), which indicates how warm or cool the light appears, with lower Kelvin values signifying a warmer, more yellowish glow and higher Kelvin values indicating a cooler, more bluish light; for example, a light with a 2700K glow temperature would be considered “warm white” while a 5000K light would be “cool white.”
What does IP44 mean for lighting?
With IP44, the 4 means the product can handle water splashes from any direction—such as light rain or water spray. However, it isn’t waterproof and should not be exposed to heavy rain, pressurised water jets, or submersion. IP44-rated products are best for areas where they might get splashed but not drenched—such as bathrooms, kitchens, or covered outdoor spaces.
