Description
Our window restrictors are purpose-designed for the mental health sector and have been independently tested and proven to meet the high standards of The Door and Hardware Federation. As well as standard off-the-shelf restrictors, we can develop bespoke solutions to suit the security requirements of different building and window types.
Stronghold
This two-part, steel window restrictor is fully adjustable to meet hospital safety guidelines. It is secured to the outside of the window frame, either directly or for more challenging environments as a bolt-through configuration. Even though it has a slim, unobtrusive appearance, it has been tested and proven to withstand both load and impact forces. Test data is available on request.
Stronghold can be used on all types of windows with top or side hung vents and is suitable for aluminium, PVCu and timber frames. Our attention to detail, even for a product designed to be used outside a building, includes anti-tamper fixings as standard. And, because the look of a building is important, the restrictors are corrosion-resistant.

If windows are connected you will require a shared mullion as well as a pair of restrictors (see diagram).
Anti-ligature window restrictors are designed to be robust and safe, yet also offer flexibility and maximise airflow.
Designed specifically for challenging scenarios, our three-part window restrictors can be supplied as bespoke products to meet specific project requirements.
Plus, they can be colour-matched to any décor, blending into the building’s exterior to create a non-institutional aesthetic that aids recovery.
