Operating on a key/key basis the PR-3S-86 locks automatically whenever the door is closed. This makes it an ideal option for link doors, office doors or to prevent unauthorised access. Supplied as standard with an anti-thrust bolt the ’86’ automatically deadlocks when the door is closed preventing patient manipulation.
Developed largely in response to demand from the EU where legislation differs, the key/key operation is becoming widely specified in the UK providing an alternative to an internal turn/pull operation. In step-down or rehabilitation units where patients may be issued with a key, this lockset provides staff with the reassurance of an internal secondary barricade override mechanism.
